Clean & Simple 2 – Day 3!!!

Day 3 and I am sooooo digging the Clean & Simple 2 Class!  I had thought about getting together today with my husband for lunch and then changed my mind because I wanted to watch the videos and check out all the wonderful techniques and cards!  I’m so glad I did!  Awesome stuff!  Anyway, after work I spent over an hour in the dentist chair continuing my root canal.  I must be exhausted because I dozed off in the chair! Who does that????? So, I came home and by the time we had dinner and the little one was off to bed, I didn’t want to do anything other than sit on the couch.  So, I told J & the big kid my intentions and they guilt me into getting up and making at least one card.  I’m glad they did!  I created a card using the gradient technique.  It was a lot of fun and definitely a technique I would use again.  Although I would pick different colors.  Not so sure I’m crazy about the blue I chose with the other two.  So, here it is.  Kinda blah & looks better in real life.

Eh, was all I could think. I was NOT digging it.  It just wasn’t what I planned out and pictured in my head…. UNTIL… until I took the mask off.  PRETTY COOL! Two posts in one day?? What???????  Well, technically it’s the next day, but I’ve not gone to bed yet.  The joys of insomnia.  Anyway…This is going to be short.  I was checking out some of the challenge blogs that I’ve participated in previous and decided I would Retrosketches #48.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:
Every time I look at him and his sad little eyes, I wanna cry.  🙁   Have a good night everyone!

    What’s going on…

Not too much going on in this neck of the woods.  I do have to say that I’m really done with winter.  DONE.  Just can’t seem to handle the cold anymore and all I want to do is sit on the couch under not 1, but 2 blankets.  Bleh.

In other news, I sent out my first box of cards to Operation Write Home!  Yay!  I was please and have already started on the next box.  A new sketch challenge was posted today, so I spent some time playing.  I kind of followed the sketch to a T, which is unusual for me.  Oh well.

And here is my card. I just love Basic Grey… and hexagons.

    Supplies:

    You TOTALLY Rock!!!….

Hey there everyone!  I have a quick card that I put together tonight.  I haven’t done much in the last week as I’ve been dealing with a badddd tooth!  Anyway, hopefully that’s all in the past and I can get back to doing what I love.  As I told you in my previous post, I’ve been making cards for Operation Write Home.  I’m pleased to tell you that just this past week the 2,000,000th card was sent!!!  How awesome is that???  Thanks to all the OWH volunteers, this was possible.  You TOTALLY Rock!!!  Here is a video that was put together by OWH in celebration of this milestone.  I’m so proud to be part of them!

So here is the card I put together this evening.  I just love this little guy and his googly eyes!  I used many products for the first time this evening.  I just got my Sizzix Big Shot this week!  LOVE IT!  Of course I had to check out Britta Swiderski’s YouTube videos on how to use it. LOL!  (Thanks for them Britta – You Totally Rock!)  Oh and I can’t forget the Hero Art’s Mid-Tone Shadow Inks.  They just arrived this week as well and let me tell you… YUMMY!  So here he is:

    Isn’t he adorable?!?!?
Well, that’s all for now!  Have a great week!
    Supplies Used:

Whew! How long was I out for????

Wow… that was some nap!  LOL!  Sorry people, I’m not good at multi-tasking, so pre-holiday stuff hit and there went my card making & my blog writing!

So, now the holidays are over and I’ve taken on a new challenge.  I’m making cards for Operation Write Home!  I’m really excited to be able to help and make a difference.  I’ve been working on St. Patrick’s Day cards all weekend and I’ve got about 20 done.  Yay!

I entered Sketch Challenge #154 for Operation Write Home.

And here is my take on it:
