Retro Sketches #32 Challenge

So this is the weekly challenge for Retro Sketches.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch, except, I would NORMALLY use different pattern papers, but instead I used all white card stock, inked, with different textures.  I like the way it came out.  Of course I used a stamp from Unity Stamp CoLive What You Love.

Unity September challenge – PENNANTS and BANNERS

Wow!  I’ve done more challenges this week than I ever thought possible!  I’m thinking I have to keep a notebook just to keep track of them all! I’m glad I’ve had the last 3 days off so I could work on them all.  Here is the last one for today.

Unity Stamp Co. September challenge – PENNANTS and BANNERS

A very simple card.  I used a miscellaneous Unity Stamp Co. stamp – colored with Copic Sketch Markers and then added pennants I created using My Minds Eye – Fine & Dandy Girl 6X6 Paper Pack .  The sentiment is from
Could I be any Cuter?” set.

Enjoy!

Lawnscaping Challenge: TEXTURE

Well, this was a fun little challenge.  Time consuming as all get out, but fun!

I just recently received my first set of Lawn Fawn clear stamps… LOVE!

Sweet Christmas

So, through this challenge I’ve determined that… I don’t like fussy cutting.  LOL!  Whew, I didn’t think I would ever get this one done.  Anyway…….. Enjoy!

Unity Kit Of The Month Sketch Challenge – October 2012

I have to say that I am enjoying all the challenges that I’ve been doing the last couple of weeks. It’s really gotten me to think outside of the box and do things I wouldn’t normally do and just to really think about my card as I put it together.

I entered the Unity Kit Of the Month Challenge for the month of October 2012.  The object was to use any Unity Kit of the Month Club and make a card based on the following sketch:

And here is the card I made:
The ice cream cones came from the Unity KOM for 3/2011 – “Just You…”  and the sentiment from the Unity KOM for 6/2011 “All Smiles”
Additional Supplies:
  • 3D Dots
  • Various Copic Sketch Markers

Primary color combo:  Cream, Brown, Olive and Pumpkin

BLOSSOM STACKERS   I just love them!   They are quickly becoming one of my favorites!  They coordinate with Spellbinder’s Blossom Tags and Accents!  Yeah.. I love em!Additional supplies:

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #7 – Coloring

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #7 – Coloring

Now this was going to be a HARD challenge for me.  I don’t have a lot of stamps that actually require coloring, so I went through my index and found a few to choose from.  Also, I still need a lot more practice with my Copic Sketch Markers.  Anyway, this is what I came up with.  The stamp is from an older KOM set and the sentiment is from the “Could I be any Cuter?” set.

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #6 – Stamp A Border

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #6 – Stamp A Border

So the object of this challenge is to take a stamp that is NOT considered a border stamp and make it into one.  I chose these adorable little penguins from “Jillibean Soup – Christmas Even Chowder“.  I love the way the card came out.  I used stickles & copic markers on the hat and diamond glaze on the eyes.  Cute!

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #5 – Fall Card

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #5 – Fall Card

I love making Fall cards.  I think it’s the colors I love most of all.  I decided with this card to make a CAS card (Clean & Simple).  And simple it was.  I still love it though! The tree is from the “Could I Be Any Cuter” set and was colored using Copic Sketch Markers.  And the sentiment is from a previous KOM.

Enjoy!

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #3 – Embossing

Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #3 – Embossing

Embossing has to be one of my favorite techniques.  Simple, yet it looks so nice.  The stamp I used came from the “Devotion Collection – Love Never Fails” set.  The background was made using the “Christy Tomlinson – Wood Grain Script” stamp.

Enjoy!
