WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #7 – Coloring

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #7 – Coloring

Now this was going to be a HARD challenge for me.  I don’t have a lot of stamps that actually require coloring, so I went through my index and found a few to choose from.  Also, I still need a lot more practice with my Copic Sketch Markers.  Anyway, this is what I came up with.  The stamp is from an older KOM set and the sentiment is from the “Could I be any Cuter?” set.

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #6 – Stamp A Border

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #6 – Stamp A Border

So the object of this challenge is to take a stamp that is NOT considered a border stamp and make it into one.  I chose these adorable little penguins from “Jillibean Soup – Christmas Even Chowder“.  I love the way the card came out.  I used stickles & copic markers on the hat and diamond glaze on the eyes.  Cute!

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #5 – Fall Card

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #5 – Fall Card

I love making Fall cards.  I think it’s the colors I love most of all.  I decided with this card to make a CAS card (Clean & Simple).  And simple it was.  I still love it though! The tree is from the “Could I Be Any Cuter” set and was colored using Copic Sketch Markers.  And the sentiment is from a previous KOM.

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #3 – Embossing

Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #3 – Embossing

Embossing has to be one of my favorite techniques.  Simple, yet it looks so nice.  The stamp I used came from the “Devotion Collection – Love Never Fails” set.  The background was made using the “Christy Tomlinson – Wood Grain Script” stamp.

Enjoy!

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #2 – Texture

Challenge #2 for Unity Stamp Co. for WCMD is Texture.  I used a textured card stock for the base.  Ran some black card stock through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  I also did some embossing.  Ohhhh and some stitching with the sewing machine.  First. Time. Ever.  Anddddd… some stickles.

Ugh, I almost forgot.  The stamps are from the “quiet essence” set.

WCMD – Unity Stamp Co. Challenge #1 – Shaped Card

Yes, it’s World Card Making Day!!!  At first I had planned on trying to do all these different challenges, from several different companies… Yeah, no.  I’m a very slow card maker.  LOL!  It has taken me all day to do the ones I’ve done.  I’m taking a break now from creating and am going to post what I’ve done.

So, what challenges did I do?  Unity Stamp Co., of course!  The first challenge is all about shape.  It can’t be rectangular, square of circular.  So, I chose OCTAGON!  The stamps that were used were from the “Live What You Love” set.  Oh and I also made the little hexagons in the middle using Simon Says Stamp HEXAGON border craft die

Enjoy!

World Card Making Day!!!

Ok, so we are ONLY officially 10 minutes into WCMD, but I’m loving it already!  I had prepared earlier by making sure I set my scrap area up just right and I am pleased to say that I just finished my 2nd card!

So of course the stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.  They are older ones from the September & October, 2010 Kits of the Month.  The card front is made from scraps.  Have a great day!  Looking forward to seeing everyone’s WCMD creations!!

Longest. Week. Ever!!!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Friday Eve!!!  I’m excited the weekend is FINALLY here!  Seemed like it would never get here.  Ohhhh and it’s a LONG weekend and… and… tomorrow, well, tomorrow is World Card Making Day!  I’m excited to celebrate it for the very first time!  I’ve told the kids AND the husband that I’m UNAVAILABLE!!! In fact I started celebrating tonight.

I’m really excited about the card I made tonight.  I’ve been trying to use MOSTLY scraps on my cards because I have a TON of them and the pile just kept growing.  On this card, I made the card front from scraps adhered in a diagonal pattern.  The ribbons I had also pulled off of something else and had them in my drawer.

What I’m really excited about is the new stamp set that I just got this week from Unity Stamp Co.

I just love them!  Oh and they coordinate with Spellbinder’s Blossom Tags and Accents!  Love Love Love!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!
