Sketches to the Rescue!

Hi Everyone!

Two days in a row I was able to craft.  I like it!  In fact, I love it!  I thought I would use up the Seaside Paper Pack that I was using on yesterdays layout.  I was digging it.  Digging the colors, so why not?  Seaside is really beach themed, but I didn’t have any more beach pictures, so I thought I would scrap one of my favorite places to visit.  The Bay Area.  I hope you enjoy it!

I used a sketch that I found on Pinterest from  I loved it!  I find many 2 page layouts have way too many pictures and this one was perfect.

So, here is my take on it.  I hope you like it.  Oh and before I forget, the font is “Milkshake” available right now for free at Fairgoods.

Well, that’s probably all I’ll be posting this week.  I am going to a crop on Saturday, so hopefully I’ll have something for you.  Please remember to check out my Close to My Heart site.  Have a great week!

Peace Out,

A Girl & Her Pop-Pop – CTMH Seaside

Hello Everyone!

I won’t even tell you it’s been awhile because you already know.  Life just seems to be getting in the way these days, but I’m glad to say that I took some time today and crafted!

I’ve been wanting to use the Seaside Paper Pack for awhile now.  I knew I had the perfect picture, so it was just a matter of time and yes, time was today.  I really like the way it came out and it’s probably one of my favorites.  Not because it’s incredibly good or anything, but it has pictures of TWO of my favorite people!  My daughter Izabella and Pop-Pop.

Pop-Pop has always been an incredibly special person to me… and my girls.  My dad died at the very young age of 50 and my Uncle Frank (aka Pop-Pop) took over that father / grandfather figure roll.  Who better to fill that roll?  My Dad and him were best buddies.  We were always together… always.  In fact, he walked me down the aisle when Jack and I married.  The nicest man you would ever meet.  Kind, generous… loving.  Anyway, I hope my girls always remember how special he is and how much he loves them.  So… onto the layout!

As you know, I’m a Close to My Heart distributor and have been for the last several months.  I really love their products… their paper… their card stock… their embellishments.  If you are paper crafter, card maker, scrapbooker, check out my Close to My Heart Store.  Oh and a new catalog is coming out soon, so if you see anything in the current one, better grab it fast.  Here we go!

I hope you enjoyed it!

Peace Out!
